Registration Information

We still have LIMITED spots available in all sessions so if you weren’t able to attend or know of someone hoping to get in, please let us know and we will arrange a registration table for Sunday, April 14, 2024.


In order to keep the quality of instruction at a consistent and high level, Ted Reeve Arena Skating-Hockey School Inc. reserves the right to determine the placement of students in classes and groups based on the instructors’ assessment of participants.  The decision of the instructors in this regard is final.  We reserve the right to withdraw participants if parents/guardians are not in agreement with the required placement, or there are persistent, disruptive behavioural problems.

Registration fees must be PAID IN FULL before a student will be registered and allowed on the ice. Refunds will be at the discretion of the School and a $25.00 administration fee may still be applied.   

Students must be minimum 5 years of age by December 31, 2024 (born 2019 or earlier) to be accepted.  Birth certificates are required for registration.

Registration fees 2024-2025:

Skating School 1: $175.00

Skating School 2: $175.00

Skating School 2 and Hockey School: $300.00

Cash, cheque, credit, and debit accepted.

THE FOLLOWING IS MANDATORY EQUIPMENT FOR ALL STUDENTS 

Hockey skates, C.S.A. approved helmet and full face guard, neck guard, hockey gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, shin pads, athletic support and cup, hockey socks and sweater.  No figure skates will be permitted.  (HOCKEY STICKS REQUIRED FOR HOCKEY SCHOOL ONLY.)
 
Students will not be permitted to participate without all of the above properly fitted equipment. Students must supply their own equipment.  The School will not be responsible for lost or stolen equipment or personal articles.
 

Eligibility for Skate 2 and Skate 2/Hockey requires minimum skating skills including: balance & fall recovery, left and right leg stride and glide, inside and outside edge control, backwards skating, forward and backward “C” cuts, and fundamental parallel stopping skills (i.e. no “snow plow” stops.)

Program Schedule for the remaining January – April season 2024:

Our sessions will run as usual this March 10, 17, 24, no classes March 31 for Easter, but we continue April 7, 14, 21, and SATURDAY APRIL 27th, 2024 (not our usual Sunday.)  On our last class Saturday April 27th, we will be playing friendly shinny with each group, so bring a stick if you have one (or borrow one from us.)
