Registration is in-person only and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Our Skate 1 program fills quickly, so we recommend arriving early. Skaters must be at least 5 years old by December 31, 2026 (born in 2021 or earlier). New registrants must bring proof of age. Registration is confirmed upon payment in full. Refunds of 50% may be issued up to October 31, 2026.
Registration fees 2026-2027:
Skating School 1: $175.00
Skating School 2: $250.00
Cash, cheque, credit, and debit accepted.
To ensure a safe and positive learning experience, instructors place students in classes and groups based on skills and experience. Placement decisions are final. If a student’s placement is not a good fit or if behavior consistently disrupts the class or creates safety concerns, the school may move the student to a different group or withdraw them from the program.
Eligibility for Skate 2 requires minimum skating skills, including balance and fall recovery, left and right leg stride and glide, inside and outside edge control, backward skating, forward and backward “C” cuts, and fundamental parallel stopping skills (snow plow stops are not sufficient).
Subject to rink confirmation, the season will run from Sunday, September 13, 2026, to Sunday, March 28, 2027, for 25 instructional weeks. There will be no classes on October 11, December 27, January 3, or February 14.
Mandatory Equipment
Full hockey equipment is required for all sessions, including a helmet with a valid CSA sticker, full-face cage or visor, BNQ-certified neck guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, pants, shin pads, athletic support/cup, hockey socks with clear shin pad tape, and jersey. Hockey skates are required (no figure skates permitted), and hockey sticks are required for Skate 2 participants only. Students must supply their own properly fitted equipment, and participation will not be allowed without all required gear. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
