Each week, we offer one 45-minute skating class and one 60-minute skating and hockey class for more advanced skaters. All sessions take place on Sunday afternoons at Ted Reeve Community Arena (175 Main Street, Toronto).
Skating School 1 (10:05am ā 10:50am)
For beginner skaters ages 5 and up. This program focuses on building fundamental skating skills, including balance, movement, and confidence on the ice.
Skating School 2/Hockey (10:50am ā 11:50am)
For more experienced skaters ages 8 and up who are ready to further develop their skating and learn the fundamentals of hockey. The balance of skating and hockey instruction will vary each week based on the needs of the group.
Eligibility for Skating School 2/Hockey requires basic skating ability, including balance and fall recovery, forward and backward stride and glide (left and right leg), inside and outside edge control, backward skating, forward and backward āCā cuts, and fundamental parallel stopping (snow plow stops are not sufficient).
Full hockey equipment is required for all sessions.
