Happy Thanksgiving from the Ted Reeve Arena Skating-Hockey School – No classes on Sunday, October 7, 2018

To our Ted Reeve Skating and Hockey School families,

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Ted Reeve Arena Skating-Hockey School seasons are now fully underway.  We are very proud of the progress our skaters have made to date and hope you are too. Our first weeks are the most challenging for our newest skaters, and we are working hard to get everyone sorted into the best groups for them.  All good so far.

We appreciate your support in having your participants properly dressed and ready on time.  A list of required equipment can be found here.

A reminder that no figure skates are permitted, and properly fitted helmets and neck guards are required. Also, if you observe falling hockey socks or pants, you might consider shin pad tape and suspenders.  Further, properly fitted skates and helmets are the most important pieces of equipment and we recommend that you avoid ski-boot style skates.

We will continue to assess our more advanced skaters in SK1 in order to graduate them into SK2 to better balance our ice.  At this time, we are not accepting additional registrations.

We remind you that THERE ARE NO CLASSES NEXT WEEK ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2017.  We are back at our regular times on Sunday, October 14, 2017.

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones.

Your Ted Reeve Arena Skating-Hockey School Instructors

“Hockey captures the essence of Canadian experience in the New World. In a land so inescapably and inhospitably cold, hockey is the chance of life, and an affirmation that despite the deathly chill of winter we are alive.”
