Offered each week are two skating classes of 45 minutes each and one hockey class for our advanced skaters of 60 minutes.  Enrolment in and attendance to Skating School 2 is mandatory for enrolment and attendance in the hockey class. All sessions will be held on Sunday afternoons at the Ted Reeve Community Arena, 175 Main Street, Toronto.

Skating School 1: For beginner skaters ages 5 and up this session covers the basics of skating

Skate 1 runs from 1:00 – 1:45pm, $175 for the season

Skating School 2: For more experienced students ages 8 years and up who want to expand their skating skills

Skate 2 runs from 1:45 – 2:30pm, $175 for the season

Skating School 2 and Hockey School: A continuation on the skating techniques this session expands into the basics of hockey

Skate 2/Hockey School runs from 1:45 – 3:50pm, $300 for the season

Eligibility for Skate 2 and Skate 2/Hockey requires minimum skating skills including: balance & fall recovery, left and right leg stride and glide, inside and outside edge control, backwards skating, forward and backward “C” cuts, and fundamental parallel stopping skills (i.e. no “snow plow” stops.)

Program Schedule for the September 2024 – March 2025 season:
Classes start Sunday, September 8th, 2024 and will  finish Sunday, March 30, 2025. There will be no classes on October 13, 2024 (Thanksgiving), December 29, 2024, January 5, 2025 (Christmas), or February 16, 2025 (Family Day).
